ABOUT ERICA PURVIS
For over 15 years professionally and personally, I\'ve been exploring \"How to be a designer in a world already full of stuff\", questioning and cultivating more sustainable, circular, regenerative ways of designing (and being), with multiple different organisations, sectors and collaborations, depths and layers. An evolving ecosystem of thought and action.I support individuals, teams, and organisations in navigating design in complexity and in needed transition—co-creating purposeful circular and regenerative approaches that blend care, curiosity, and action. With Studio Technical Nature and Design Elements Wayfinding, I work alongside a diverse ecosystem of collaborators—locally and globally—to rethink, imagine, redesign and prototype alternatives. This includes products, circular and alternative business models, and new services and systems, all grounded in creative, cross-disciplinary practice: art, words, making, engineering, learning through doing, and taking time to be.I develop and share circular, nature-inspired tools and frameworks that enable deeper connection, innovation, and positive impact—always seeking to work as, with, for, multiple perspectives and where possible, outside.Guiding questionsWhat does a designer’s* role look like in a world needing to reconnect with other Earth Beings and our own deeper nature? How can we generate from the harm of the past/ current industrial design and engineering, economy and reimagine, heal, design and create alternative futures? How can I also live and work in my values, cycles and own health needs, and contribute to the needs of others?\"Every design has a consequence, let\'s make it a good one\"Design Council - Design for Planet Expert Trained Nature Facilitator (Change in Nature)Fellow Royal Society of the ArtsVisiting Professor Glasgow Schools of Art & Royal Academy of Engineering *designer, engineer, citizen, all
