About Eric Mitchell
Former theatrical designer turned strategic operator. I thrive in ambiguity, connecting dots across teams, and bringing creative rigor to the messy-but-magical work of scaling companies. I love to play in the space where storytelling, data, and hospitality meet.Personally, I’m curious, compassionate, and energized by passionate people. If you care deeply about your work, your food, or animal advocacy, let’s talk!
Experience
Chief of Staff
Jul 2021 — Present
Strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team through leadership of the company\'s annual strategic goal planning process, developing and managing an employee equity framework, leading complex and high-impact initiatives into action, and supporting a rapidly scaling business. I work directly with investors, executive leaders, and external vendors and thrive in the space between structure and ambiguity- Designed and continue to lead Steno’s company-wide OKR process and annual planning cycle. Developed and managed our biweekly business review cadence, aligning 30 cross-functional leaders (ELT, VPs, and key stakeholders) around performance, accountability, and decision-making- Supported multiple successful raises, including a $10.3M Series A-1,$15M Series B, a $20M revolving credit facility, and subsequently,$46M in combined equity and debt. Led the production of all investor materials including deck narrative & storytelling, diligence response processes, and data room management- Owns all quarterly board packs and investor-facing materials- Serves as point person for ambiguous, business-critical projects, such as a company-wide migration to a new corporate credit card and expense system and designing a scalable employee equity framework- Supported Steno’s growth from 45 to 450 employees and 10x revenue scale, helping maintain clarity, cohesion, and executional discipline across teams and stages.
