About Erica Thayer Iorio

I graduated from Bentley University in the top 10% of my class with a degree in Information Systems Audit and Control with a minor in Computer Information Systems. I then pursued an accelerated Master of Science degree in Accounting from University of Rhode Island. While in graduate school I successfully passed the CPA in a six month period. I started my career working at Ernst and Young with an initial focus in healthcare and nonprofits but later spent the majority of my time on a large biotech accelerated filer listed in the NASDAQ-100 Index. I started at Editas Medicine right before the IPO as one of the first members of the Finance/Accounting team and have been with the company for just over five years. I have a team of 8 supporting me and oversee all of the typical controller areas including purchasing. I also spend a significant amount of time as the primary finance contact for our external partnerships.
