ABOUT ERICA BARBOSA VARGAS
My professional experience spans international development, systems innovation, sustainable finance, and impact investing; most recently in Sr. Management and Executive roles overseeing the development of services and products to enable the growth of the impact investing field with greater participation of a wider range of investor types. My experience includes a decade of impact investing across asset classes, primarily in private markets, and in various thematic domains. The portfolios I managed spanned institutional investments as well as blended finance and impact-first funds and projects. I joined the field with formal education and work in behavioral neuroscience, psychology, and economics. Throughout my career I have been particularly interested in the intersection of behavioral sciences with economic and social development; and more recently in applying knowledge from complexity science and innovation to build financial systems that are conducive to more resilient economies.If you are working on this, I would love to connect.
