ABOUT ERICA Z.
Hello LinkedIn community, I’m Erica and I’m an experienced private practice and agency clinician with a demonstrated history in the mental health care industry offering counseling, consultation, and supervision. I work with complex populations providing coaching, counseling, and trauma-informed interventions for patients with ADHD, substance abuse, and (complex) PTSD. As a psychology lecturer, I connect with my undergraduate students who aspire to further their education and work in the psychology, behavioral health, and counseling fields. Using my clinical mental health expertise, I teach my students about the intersections between psychology and culture, social justice, advocacy, and policy issues that often keep our patients from the life-saving care they need. As a student researcher in college, I had one of the greatest experiences of my life working in experimental biomedical research under the direction of chemists, microbiologists, geologists, and toxicologists. I received mentorship through a NIH grant funded program for underserved communities in biomedical research, collaboration with stakeholders, data collection, data analysis, problem-solving, synthesizing results, and presenting findings on behalf of my team.
