ABOUT ERICA WERNEMAN ROOT
As a tech-savvy solicitor with a decade of experience in private practice at a City firm, I specialise in data protection, information rights, data ethics, lean compliance, and all things technology related. I have a proven track record of designing, implementing and operationalising legal compliance frameworks and I enjoy working with the business to embed data protection by design and default across functions. I\'m in the final stages of completing my Masters in Data Science and I am comfortable working directly with engineering and data analytics teams. Before going in-house I was recognised by Chambers and Partners as an Associate to Watch (Global 2021) and as a Rising Star in Legal500 for TMT 2020 and 2021 (data protection and technology). Currently open to part-time roles, I am excited to apply my knowledge and skills to help companies innovate using data-driven approaches while keeping privacy at the heart of new product and service development.
