About Erica Schnitz
With over ten years of experience in behavioral health, I am the Clinical Director at Huckleberry House, Inc, a nonprofit organization that serves adolescents, young adults, and families. I manage the counseling program and provide clinical supervision, training, and support to a team of therapists who deliver trauma-informed care to clients facing challenges such as poverty, homelessness, substance use, and/or mental health concerns. I also oversee the day to day clinical operations in all programming throughout the agency. I am passionate about improving the mental health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities, and empowering them with the skills, resources, and support they need to overcome their difficulties and achieve their potential. I am trained in EMDR, a proven therapy for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental health concerns. I also have experience in conducting risk assessments, providing crisis intervention, and facilitating workshops and presentations on various behavioral health topics. My goal is to lead and inspire my staff and clients with compassion, professionalism, and excellence.
