ABOUT ERICA SANCHEZ
As a first generation college graduate and the daughter of Mexican immigrants, I am passionate about access and equity in Higher Education. My skill set includes effectively training staff and working on business processes to ensure that work can be done efficiently, consistently, and accurately. I believe efficiency and accuracy in business operations is invaluable to the student experience, especially with underserved communities. Additionally, I believe in centering the experiences of historically marginalized communities when considering how to implement business processes. I enjoy working with these communities to help provide culturally fluent services and information for students and their families as a form of empowerment. I have worked in education for over 10 years providing services in tutoring, college advising, workshops, presentations, financial literacy, and connecting students to services.
