   As the Senior Manager of Grainger\'s Metalworking Portfolio Strategy, I lead the metalworking portfolio strategy, including market and segment analysis, competitive analysis, go-to-market strategy, and product differentiation. As a part of the metalworking leadership team, I work cross-functionally with business partners including other functional leaders to make long-term decisions that will help focus initiative development and execution. With my industry experience, I provide thought leadership, direction, and guidance to the Director of Metalworking and other leaders within the company. In addition to driving strategy internally, I manage our influential supplier relationships and collaborate to execute our strategic and technical strategies with each supplier.Other aspects of my role are as follows;• Manage direct reports to grow maintenance metalworking that aligns with the overall program strategy.• Define strategies and implement tactics that support portfolio growth.• Lead the development and execution of the metalworking vision, ensuring organizational prioritization and proper communication.• Support the S & OP process, new item introduction, and long-term health of the portfolio.• Provide thought leadership in managing all aspects of the portfolio.• Organize & present various business reviews with Grainger & Supplier leadership.• Work closely with the field to understand the voice of our customers and advance Grainger’s objective to bring value to our customers.• Collaborate with our strategic suppliers and Grainger’s merchandising team to identify needed product gaps and enhancements.• Closely monitor the portfolio landscape, including competitive initiatives.• Identify potential strengths and gaps in products, processes, and technologies.
