Sound Mind Counseling is the culmination of many years of big dreams, hard work, and personal healing. After the tragic death of my oldest son in 2004, I was lucky to have the exceptional support of a therapist who I believe saved my life. The work she did inspired me to become a therapist myself, and eventually, to open my own practice, where not just I, but a remarkable team of clinicians continue to bring hope and positivity to every single person who reaches out to us for help.In addition to creating the spaces and therapeutic connections that help clients transform their lives, I am a proud partner to Northwestern University, mentoring students from the Family Institute at my Glenview and Wilmette offices, which serve as an official NU clinical training site. I also work closely with several local non-profits including Catch is Community and Paws for Patrick in my ongoing efforts to raise mental health awareness and access to services and psychoeducation for all.
