About Erica Gruesser
I am a fourth-year student at Indiana University\'s Kelley School of Business, majoring in Finance and Accounting. Throughout my time at Indiana University, I have furthered development both professionally and personally. As a sophomore, I was elected president of my sorority, where I lead a chapter of over 200 members and oversaw 13 women on the executive board. During this role, I lead weekly executive board and chapter-wide meetings, collaborated with each of the 13 executive board members throughout the year regarding their roles, events, and obligations and provided them with support and assistance, and communicated as the Chapter delegate between the National Chapter, Panhellenic Community, and Indiana University. This experience taught me leadership, time management, problem-solving, delegation, and strong interpersonal and communication skills that I will take with me for the rest of my professional career. Additionally, I worked at ALDI USA during Summer 2024 as a District Manager Intern. In this role, I managed operations across multiple ALDI stores in an assigned district, audited each assigned store every month according to ALDI auditing standards, interviewed, evaluated, and hired candidates at the associate, lead store associate, assistant store manager, and store manager levels at multiple ALDI stores, and collaborated with a fellow intern team member to create a comprehensive and informed solution to a given company issue and presented findings to the district executives. This experience was extremely value in developing skills in teamwork, compliance, and management practices. During Summer 2025, I will work as an Audit Assurance Intern for Ernst & Young in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am thrilled to have this opportunity, as I plan to graduate in May 2026 with 150 credit hours and am planning to get my CPA certification. As a Finance and Accounting student, I hope to work in public accounting with financial service organizations and develop a career there. Ultimately, I hope to pursue a client-facing role that allows me to pursue my passion of working with and helping others financially.
