Trellis Foundation is a grant-making public charitable organization focused on improving postsecondary attainment for low-income students and students of color in Texas. Our approach is highly collaborative and prioritizes catalytic investments, focused on changing or informing change to policy, practice and systems. As chief of staff, my role is to build upon a strong organizational culture, engage the Foundation board, and lead initiatives that contribute to the organization’s long-term success in supporting the students and families of Texas as they pursue their education and career potential. As Corporate Secretary (non-voting member), my role entails serving as a trusted advisor to executive management and the board, managing the board of directors administrative operations, such as meeting management, record keeping, compliance oversight, director support and management, and review of the governance process for continual improvement.
