ABOUT ERICA ALBERTIN

I’m an Exercise Scientist and educator who helps active adults, athletes, and high performers train with less pain, recover smarter, and build strength that lasts. Through my brand Getting Stronger EP, I focus on taking the guesswork out of movement by combining manual therapy, performance science, and nervous system-informed coaching to create sustainable, evidence-based results.My clinical background is rooted in hands-on care and high-level athletic performance. I earned my Doctorate in Athletic Training from the University of Idaho, and I’m certified in Graston Technique, the Mulligan Concept, Total Motion Release, and Myokinesthetics—a toolkit that helps people move freely, reduce chronic restrictions, and return to the activities they love. I also hold certifications as a NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist and American Heart Association Instructor.Before entering higher education and the collegiate setting, I worked across multiple sports medicine environments, including U.S. Soccer (U-18 and U-20 national team camps, and the U.S. Women’s National Team during their 2014 match vs. France), Barrington High School, and Weil Foot & Ankle Institute. I’ve been part of the collegiate athletics world since 2012, where I continue to teach, mentor, and support the next generation of movement professionals.As a former collegiate soccer and basketball athlete, I deeply understand what it means to train, perform, and push limits—while wanting to stay healthy for the long-term.
