ABOUT ERIC YEUNG

With a degree and background in Mechanical Engineering, I started off my career off as an engineer before finding my passion for data and how, with the right setup and culture, it can lead to eye-opening insights and predictive analysis on what actions to take next.Since the change into a data career, I have 5 years of experience in the data industry which includes key roles as an Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI service administrator, lead consultant in data visualisation for clients of various industries, and expanding the insights of companies to better understand the many actions that can be taken to boost their performance at all levels. Throughout my career I have always tailored the solutions in consideration for upscaling, best practice, and generating the most engaging data insight discussions.Have worked across a variety of disciplines and industries building dashboards/reports providing new insight capability. Disciplines include; HR, Operations, Financials, Retail Fashion, and Customer Analysis. Industries include; Defence, Telecommunications, Maintenance, E-Commerce, and Travel/Search Aggregator. Alongside building the front-end consumer experience dashboards, have also worked on other technical capabilities including data modelling, data warehousing, APIs, and service set-up/management. Outside of the technical skills, I have experience in managing stakeholders at all levels (including CEOs), managed teams (graduates and apprentices to enable them to become experts within the field), and a strong passion for continuously developing my skillset to become knowledgeable with new technologies that can revolutionise how data can be used for businesses.Currently working as a Senior Data Visualisation Consultant helping businesses analyse their data, providing new insights, and drive business decisions based on data.Primary software and tech experience include: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL, Python
