About Eric Wietsma

I have spent the last 15 years in senior leadership at MassMutual Retirement Services leading the investment group, managing product development, overseeing the sales division of approximately 750 employees and leading Operations. For the past several years, I have been responsible for Operations which includes the call centers, transaction processing, payroll integration, regulatory advisory services and learning & development. I was also responsible for the overall technology strategy for the business. I started my career at Cigna in the executive development program, rotating through all areas of the healthcare, insurance and retirement services businesses. I found the retirement services business to be extremely gratifying and also interesting from a long-term planning perspective with my actuarial background. After 8 years at Cigna, I ran the public sector markets at The Hartford, overseeing the P&L, marketing operations, product development and pricing. I am a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, member of the American Academy of Actuaries and hold the Series 3, 7 and 24 FINRA designations.Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, traveling and being involved in our church council.
