ABOUT ERIC WETZEL
Eric M. Wetzel, Ph.D, is the Bob Aderholdt Endowed Associate Professor at Auburn University’s McWhorter School of Building Science and Director of the Construction Automation, Robotics, and Visualization (CARV) Lab. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on autonomous robotics and automation in the construction industry. In addition to authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Wetzel has delivered keynote addresses at major industry conferences, been featured in national media, and received multiple awards for both research and teaching. Alongside his academic roles, he is the Principal of Wetzel Consulting, LLC, and maintains an on-call affiliation with Carollo Engineers. He earned his Ph.D. from the Myers-Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech.
