I studied Japanese at private language schools in Japan and returned a few years later to teach English as a Second Language (ESL), which I still do annually as my schedule permits. In addition, I studied in Puebla, Mexico through the University of Houston’s Department of Modern and Classical Languages, and attended language schools in Guatemala. I previously taught a course at the University of Houston Language and Culture Center. I have traveled extensively in Asia, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and in Latin America, to Mexico, Central America, & South America, and lastly, Europe, which has enhanced my language skills and breadth of cultural knowledge.
