ABOUT ERIC STERN
Eric Stern is Chief Technology Officer at Tiger Global, where he leads the firm’s technology, data, and AI strategy across both the hedge fund and private equity businesses. He oversees a team of data engineers and data scientists responsible for building and operating the firm’s data infrastructure, analytics capabilities, and investment insights platform. Eric focuses on advancing technology and data initiatives that support alpha generation, including the development of scalable alternative data infrastructure and tools that enable research, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring across Tiger Global’s investment teams. He also leads the development of the firm’s fund management technology platform and oversees vendor strategy across the firm’s broader technology ecosystem. Prior to joining Tiger Global, Eric spent four years at Goldman Sachs in Asset Management Technology. Most recently, he led Asset Management Engineering Strategy, partnering with divisional leadership to define and execute engineering priorities, drive strategic initiatives, and strengthen core technology and control frameworks across the division. He also co-led the development of Scribe, a GS Accelerate platform designed to transform private markets investing through digitization, advanced analytics, and improved collaboration between key stakeholders. Earlier in his career, Eric spent more than sixteen years at BlackRock, where he helped build and scale the firm’s Aladdin platform and deliver data, analytics, and insights to investors and clients globally. He led platform technology for BlackRock’s Alternative Investments business, focusing on the eFront platform for private markets. Eric was also a member of the Portfolio Analytics Group in both New York and London, where he led analytics teams across the U.S. and EMEA, developed analytics capabilities during major market events, and led Aladdin implementations for global institutional clients. In addition, he led the Analytics Analyst Program, overseeing campus recruiting, training, and career development for new analysts joining the firm.Eric is actively engaged with Tufts University and supports the community through mentorship and university initiatives. He also serves as an advisor to several fintech startup companies.Eric earned a BA in Economics with a minor in Computer Science from Tufts University in 2003 and a graduate certificate from New York University\'s Schack Institute of Real Estate in 2011.
