ABOUT ERIC PLESMAN

As the Senior Managing Director and Head of Global Real Estate at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), I oversee a diverse portfolio of real estate investments across Canada, the US, and Europe. Working with a team of over 25 investment professionals, we strive to implement sustainable real estate practices, a commitment that has earned us six IPE real estate sustainability awards over the past 10 years. Before joining HOOPP in 2021, I held several senior positions at Oxford Properties/OMERS, including Executive Vice President, North America, where I was involved in investments and development across various asset classes. My career has also included roles in investment banking and real estate private equity at Morgan Stanley in London, New York, and Toronto, as well as consulting at Arthur Andersen in Amsterdam. I have a BA from King’s University College and an Honors Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University. Additionally, I serve on the Board of Directors for the Greater Toronto Airport Authority, contributing strategic insights into the growth and management of one of Canada\'s busiest transportation hubs.
