About Eric Oberer
Eric Oberer is Vice President and Maryland State Counsel for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. Prior to serving in this role he was Maryland State Counsel for First American Title Insurance Company. He has also served as a former prosecutor, civil litigator, trial lawyer, title attorney, and land development and acquisition negotiator at a major law firm. He has served in The White House and in multiple stints with the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as with the U.S. Army J.A.G. Corps. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. While in college he was named the Thomas M. Gerrity Scholar-Athlete of the Year for NCAA tennis. He is the president of the Maryland Land Title Association and chairs a committee within the Maryland State Bar Association. He is also the author of the award-winning book Courts of Law, Not Courts of Justice from Atmosphere Press (2023).
