Building faster, smarter, and more secure biometric systems in Rust.As the technical lead for a next-generation 1:N biometric matching platform, I design and optimize systems that deliver 2× faster performance and up to 90% lower runtime costs compared to our legacy solution — resulting in millions of dollars in annual savings for customers while maintaining uncompromised accuracy and reliability.Working primarily in Rust, I specialize in high-performance systems architecture, combining low-level concurrency optimization, memory efficiency, and observability at scale. I leverage a broad range of performance-measurement and monitoring tools to continuously profile, benchmark, and refine our distributed workloads across cloud and on-prem environments.Beyond my engineering role, I also serve as an instructor in Cybersecurity and Cloud Technologies, helping professionals understand secure architectures, Zero-Trust principles, and modern cloud-native design. This cross-functional perspective enables me to align security, scalability, and performance into cohesive, production-ready systems.I’ve led the evolution of our platform into a cloud-native yet on-premise-ready solution, integrating Kubernetes, Amazon S3 / MinIO, and gRPC microservices built on Zero-Trust security. The result is a platform that’s not only faster and more cost-efficient, but also highly available, horizontally scalable, and operationally seamless — empowering customers to process biometric data at unprecedented scale and speed.
