About Eric Minton
I’m a Subcontract Program Manager at Collins Aerospace, leading complex supplier, contracts, and risk management for critical NASA/DoD programs in a fully remote capacity. I own the end-to-end subcontract lifecycle: supplier selection, negotiations, T & Cs and FAR/DFARS flowdowns, performance management, and recovery plans when things go sideways. Before joining Collins, I spent nearly 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, leading up to 400+ Marines and managing high-stakes operations where failure wasn’t an option. That experience built the foundation for how I lead today: clear expectations, accountability, and decisive action when things are off track. In my current role I’ve:• Improved on-time delivery to MRP and reduced supplier PPM through structured performance plans and deeper collaboration.• Helped drive net cost savings while protecting schedule, quality, and technical performance.• Led cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, supply chain, operations, finance) to resolve critical supplier issues and keep hardware moving.I’m especially interested in remote Senior-level roles in Subcontracts, Contracts, or Supplier Management where I can own a portfolio of strategic suppliers, lead negotiations, and drive performance and risk management across complex aerospace/defense programs.
Experience
Subcontract Program Manager
Jul 2023 — Present
Lead subcontract management for multiple complex aerospace programs, including NASA/space and defense work, managing a portfolio of high-impact hardware and suppliers. • Own end-to-end subcontract execution: supplier selection and onboarding, SOW and T&C alignment, negotiations, FAR/DFARS and prime contract flowdowns, and ongoing performance management. • Drove double-digit improvements in On-Time Delivery and reduced Supplier Quality PPM by implementing supplier scorecards, regular performance reviews, and corrective action plans. • Achieved net cost savings on key contracts by challenging supplier proposals, leveraging should-cost analysis, and negotiating pricing, terms, and risk allocation while maintaining schedule. • Partner with engineering, quality, operations, and program management to resolve complex technical and delivery issues, including recovery plans for critical-path hardware. • Prepare and present executive-level updates on supplier risk, schedule impacts, and mitigation strategies to internal leadership and customer stakeholders.
