Negotiated public private partnership, which resulted in an 80-acre annexation, 660 new multi- and single-family housing, the donation of a 23 acre park, and funding for $5 million significant utility expansion to support future industrial uses.• Responsible for all City planning and economic development efforts, including implemented housing-friendly amendments to City’s zoning code.• Created City’s first Community Reinvestment Area since 1997, leading to $20 million in investment and 173 permanent jobs; Created three new tax increment financing (TIF) districts, the funds from which are being used to leverage over $96 million in non-residential private investment.• Brokered 9-acre Metro Park expansion and secured COTA bus rapid transit (BRT) end of the line site for COTA and future transit-oriented mixed-use development.• Responsible for nearly 1,400 housing units currently either in the formal planning process, in for permitting, or under construction as of January 2025.
