Drive a culture based on maintenance routines and engineering solutions using training, systematic troubleshooting and root cause corrective actions. Coordinate and oversee the work of contractors as needed. Control the maintenance and engineering budgets, ensuring they are in line with fiscal plans. Implement cost reductions to offset negative or unplanned variances to the fiscal plan. Develop and implement procedures to ensure spare parts availability and control. Understand financial drivers in the form of budgets, cost, yields, and operating plans. Schedule and manage maintenance and engineering operations to ensure maximum production in the most cost-effective manner.
