About Eric Mamajek

I am Deputy Program Chief Scientist of the Exoplanet Exploration Program (ExEP), a NASA program managed by the Astrophysics Division of NASA\'s Science Mission Directorate (SMD). The ExEP Program Office is at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, where I am also an astronomer within the JPL Astrophysics and Space Sciences Section. My research focuses on the the formation, evolution, and characterization of exoplanets and their host stars. Recently, at JPL I\'ve also been 1) Project Scientist on the SHERA Small Explorer mission concept at JPL, 2) member of the Habitable Worlds Observatory Science Team and co-chair of the HWO Target Stars & Systems Working Group, and 3) chair of the JPL Palomar Advisory Committee (JPAC), which administers observing time for JPL and IPAC scientists on the Palomar 200-inch (5-meter) Hale telescope.
