Lead teams that administer BIS\'s defense trade, industrial base, and foreign investment programs. Regularly represent DOC on defense trade/conventional arms transfer policy, defense industrial base/economic security, foreign investment, and emergency preparedness issues at National Security Council (NSC) and interagency meetings, and during engagements with Congress, foreign governments, trade associations and industry.* Oversee BIS\'s analysis of national security implications of foreign acquisitions and investments into U.S. businesses reviewed by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). Played central role in DOC\'s engagement with interagency partners, Congress, industry, and foreign governments during Congressional debate on the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act and in the development of the CFIUS pilot program on critical technologies.* Oversee DOC\'s program to implement the priorities and allocations authorities under Title I of the Defense Production Act (DPA) through the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) regulation. Also represent DOC on interagency groups convened to promote the effective use of the DPA and engage with Congress and industry on DPA issues.* Direct team that processes export licenses/compliance reviews for military items subject to BIS\'s export control jurisdiction. Work closely with interagency partners, foreign governments, and industry to ensure that controls are kept current and effectively control the transfer of items to foreign destinations.
