About Eric Lightcap
I am a passionate, independent, and accomplished scientist and leader with 27 years of experience in oncology and immuno-oncology drug discovery. I have worked extensively within matrixed environments, from small biotech to large pharmaceutical, and have built strong, mutually beneficial relationships with multiple contract research organizations. I have a successful history of applying mechanistic studies to highly novel therapies, leveraging insights from functional and correlative genomics with in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo studies, to inform the translation of multiple small molecule oncology assets into the clinic, resulting in multiple conference presentations and publications. These genetic studies enabled me to explore diverse and unexpected biology, substantially broadening my understanding of cancer. I have served on multiple phase 1 clinical teams to oversee the successful development and application of blood- and tumor-based pharmacodynamic and predictive biomarkers, including for HC-5404, HC-7366, Velcade, pevonedistat, subasumstat, and TAK-676.
