Led data integration engineering teams to merge the largest Illinois and Wisconsin healthcare IT systems to become the 10th largest healthcare organization in the U.S. • Directed data integration engineers and managers in a $1B electronic medical record implementation to become the largest single Epic EMR instance in the world. • Architected and managed java engineering teams to integrate and support a multi-million dollar patient portal system covering over quarter million active users/patients. • Leading 3 engineering teams, across 2 states and 5 locations, consisting of 30 full time engineers and 10 consultants responsible for building, integrating and supporting the following: o Patient Portal to patients, physician portal for thousands of providers, helping Advocate achieve $+10M in meaningful use incentive program. o Enterprise Patient Index of 14 million records to utilize for big data analytics for the largest Accountable Care Organization in the U.S. o Custom created notification application alerting doctors and caregivers about urgent patient labs and ER visits, saving lives and keeping patients revisiting emergency rooms o 24/7, mobile and PC based remote access solutions for associates, physicians and business partners. o Co-created an all-in-one-view physician portal integrating a half dozen EMRs, radiology applications and specialty systems, providing the complete patient record to physicians without the cost of one EMR • My teams take over projects that have failed or are too important to fail. We develop integration systems and platforms that provide new and critical functionality to our users, helping deliver better patient outcomes.
