I am Vice President at DEG in the Infrastructure Africa/Latam team with responsibility for origination, structuring and client relationship of infrastructure/energy clients in East and Southern Africa. Besides I am Vice President at DEG in the AfricaConnect team with responsibility for origination and structuring of SME transactions in Africa, incl. distributed energy solutions. Besides this, I have a strong interest in the offgrid sector. I look forward to getting in touch with you on new transactions, market developments and opportunities! I\'m a highly motivated development banker with more than 20 years in depth-experience in emerging/ frontier market investment and have a strong track-record in originating, structuring and execution of long-term funding solutions (debt, mezz, equity) with a focus on Africa. I am passionate about working with private sector companies and achieving sustainable development effects of investments through financing and technical assistance instruments. Prior to my current position, I was responsible for originating and structuring infra/energy transactions in Africa. Previously I worked and lived for 10 years in Nairobi setting up and heading DEG’s Regional Office there - a great time in this amazing region and “the green city in the sun”. During my time in East Africa I served on boards of several banks and companies and I continue to be fascinated by the impact of private sector companies in Africa.
