   GrantWorks is a private sector governmental program and project management firm founded in 1979. We provide disaster recovery and mitigation, housing, community and economic development, and planning services to 350+ local and state governmental entities. Eric\'s roles have included application cycle coordination, organizational development and oversight, quality control, process improvement, and program and regulatory research. During his tenure he has has administered CD construction projects, developed comprehensive plans, and written hundreds of grant applications, later directing teams doing this work for the firm\'s CDBG, EDA, USDA, HOME and other federally-funded projects. Eric played a key role in developing projects and directing implementation for the Hurricane Ike/Dolly recovery following GrantWorks\' 2013-14 selection as administrator for Galveston, the Galveston Housing Authority (GHA), and Houston. This work included replacement of 569 GHA rental housing units at three mixed-income developments and 123 scattered sites; a new central fire station; and redevelopment of the historic Galveston Water & Electric Light Station as a community center. He also led the team tasked by the Texas General Land Office (GLO) to address HUD findings related to two locally administered Ike CDBG-DR business recovery grant programs, forestalling recapture of federal funding. Building on the firm\'s success with Ike, in 2018 Eric helped secure and define GrantWorks role as GLO\'s grant administration and project management partner for over $3.2 billion in Harvey CDBG-DR funds. He continues to play a key role in this work which involves a large team specializing in infrastructure; multifamily; single family rehab/reconstruction/new development; buyout/relocation; economic development; planning; and public services, across five state-run and 20 subrecipient-led programs.
