From November 2017 through June 2025, as a member of the Federal Senior Executive Service (SES), oversee business operations (internal budget and financial operations, management, engineering and construction efforts, and other activities) of the 5700+ person Northwestern Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; since December 2018, also oversee execution of the Northwestern Division\'s Military Programs, designing and building infrastructure for the Department of Defense and other Federal agencies, such as the Departments of Veterans Affairs, the Interior, and Agriculture.*From May 2013 through October 2017, as an SES, oversaw management, budget, and related policy issues for the Army Civil Works program (around $5 billion to $6 billion in annual direct funding), which comprises mainly Civil Works activities of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (such as commercial navigation, flood control, and aquatic ecosystem restoration), as well as some international programs.*From 2008 through 2013, worked in the National Security Division of the Office of Management and Budget (Executive Office of the President), on a variety of budget development and management issues relating primarily to the Department of Defense, as well as the National Nuclear Security Administration, Intelligence Community, and Department of Veterans Affairs.*From 2001 to 2008, served as a Program Examiner in the Office of Management and Budget\'s Water and Power Branch, working on budget development and oversight of a variety of water resources issues relating to the Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. During this period, also had extensive involvement in developing and applying government-wide performance management tools.
