Systems Engineer on a team of brilliant engineers developing a clean sheet Main Flight Computer Subsystem for the New Glenn Vehicle - Responsible for defining exactly what functions are performed by the New Glenn Main Flight Computer - Responsible for defining the hardware and software requirements of the Main Flight Computer platform.(Think “Box” level requirements, Design, and allocation of functions to Hardware, Software, and CEH teams.)- Responsible for verifying the Main Flight Computer meets its reliability and fault tolerance requirements in the absurdly harsh space vehicle environment. This includes safety deliverables such as Fault Hazard Analysis (FHA), Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA)- Co-leading the design of the hardware health monitoring, fault detection, and recovery mechanisms.(This gets super interesting in radiation)- Co-leading the hardware development team through qualification testing
