ABOUT ERIC GOTTESMAN
Eric Gottesman, CPA, joined Transco Packaging Group in late 2019. Transco is a leader in retail and industrial packaging solutions. Building on over 80 years of experience in the packaging industry, Transco offers innovation, quality, value and super customer service.Prior to Transco, Eric worked in the financial industry for over 14 years. His transaction experience encompasses smaller private deals up to large public transactions with values ranging from ~$50 million to over $3 billion. Eric began his career at KPMG, where he led assurance engagements on a wide variety of Canadian and international companies. Seeking a more forward-looking role, Eric moved into investment banking at CIBC World Markets in 2010. While at CIBC, he worked on multiple assignments and focused his coverage on Québec and Ontario-based companies. Striving to get closer to transactions and owner-managers in particular, Eric switched to Ernst & Young Orenda Corporate Finance in 2012, where he focused on Québec-based mid-market companies. From 2014 to 2019, Eric worked at Kilmer Capital Partners and Kilmer Group, a Canada-based private equity fund focused on the mid-market and a family office with a long-term investment horizon, respectively. Eric played a key role in helping portfolio companies achieve their objectives (such as strategy, governance, M&A, risk management, etc.), worked directly with management teams to drive value, and sourced as well as executed new investment opportunities. He received a Bachelor of Commerce with great distinction from McGill University in 2006 and was admitted to the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec and CPA Ontario in 2010.
