1. Utilization Management Pharmacist

   Serve as a clinical pharmacist for the Humana Clinical Pharmacy Review (HCPR) department performing drug utilization reviews for coverage determinations, prior authorizations, formulary and policy exceptions, opioid utilization, and general utilization management strategies utilizing supported clinical compendia and resources in unison with departmental policies and procedures to ensure effective determination of requests for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial plan members. • Participate and provide feedback on pilot programs with the goal to improve operational capabilities and improve quality clinical decisions. • Serve as an HCPR representative providing services to the Clinical Formulary Administration department for commercial tasks related to First Databank (FDB) changes and releases to apply and upload appropriate coverage, limitations, tiering, and other applicable criteria to newly released drugs and formulations. • Serve as an HCPR Pharmacist team member that works on Change Request (CR) implementation, testing, and rollout for our department’s clinical operations software. • Serve as a weekend Subject Matter Expert (SME) taking on extra responsibilities regarding answering reviewer inquiries, special cases, monitoring and clearing special queues and case types, and gathering information for workflow management considerations. • Received recognition on six separate occasions by the quality review team for outstanding documentation associated with a clinical review. • One of the recipients of the August 2020 All-Star Award, March 2021 Star Award, and March 2021 Finder’s Fee award within HCPR • Received twelve official departmental “Kudos” recognitions for contributions on special projects outside scope of daily duties relating to implementation of documents or technology changes.
