Recently accepted new position leading the largest Nestle Purina dry factory in Davenport, IA after successful Factory Manager assignments in Atlanta, GA, and Fort Dodge, IA. In current role, I oversee a team of 13 direct reports and more than 500 total employees, I manage performance for a high-volume location. This includes overseeing manufacturing and distribution of products from receipt of raw materials through delivery to customers; monitoring safety and FDA compliance; conducting quality checks; and tracking demand trends to ensure effective management of the supply chain. Selected Achievements in Factory Manager role: • Defined our operations vision for the Atlanta factory to include collaboration, a greater focus on accountability, and a commitment to a performance-based culture that transformed operational strategy and employee morale. • Led volume growth of 25%, including capital investments in the facility and the addition of more than 100 full-time roles, all while navigating COVID-19 pandemic safety measures. • Spearheaded our commitment to sustainability, which included reducing energy consumption and water usage along with achieving zero waste to landfills. • Evaluated customer insights and redesigned processes to reduce complaints by 40%, including the implementation of new sanitation processes. • Championed a safety-focused culture by taking accountability for safe work systems and best practices, as well as engaging leadership teams, which resulted in an increase in voluntary safety participation from less than 50% to more than 90%. • Reduced per unit conversion costs by 10% through focused strategies and processes for all stakeholders.
