MANAGER, MK2 CREW LANDER REQUIREMENTS AND VERIFICATION (8/2023 – Present)SENIOR AEROSPACE SYSTEMS ENGINEER (2/2023 – 8/2023)- Joined as an individual contributor but took the personal initiative to lead the system-level R&V activities, as there was no system level team in place at the time. Formally assigned role as manager after 6 months with the company and tasked with building tools, processes, and team to achieve design certification for human space flight- Established and managed the MK2 Crew Lander R&V team tasked with:o As the first of three major product lines (Crew Lander, Cargo Lander, and Cargo Delivery Element) defining the requirements and verification processes for the entire MK2 program, including writing key portions the Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) and coordinating the development of the remaining sections for initial release.o Leading the development, adoption, and continuous maintenance of the Jama Requirements Management Tool. o Completing initial development and ongoing maintenance of the MK2 Crew Lander End Item Specification and delivering to NASA for Certification Baseline Review.o Leading the requirement development efforts to decompose the system-level requirements into detailed, actionable requirements that define the needs of subsystems, assemblies, and components at all levels of the vehicle.o Developing and executing the plan to decompose and verify design & construction standards across the program.o Developing the processes for and leading the execution of verification planning (Detailed Verification Objectives)- Performed managerial duties such as budget development, schedule & resource planning, talent acquisition, performance management, mentoring, on-the-job training, etc.
