About Eric Citizen

What we do in life, echoes in eternity.\" Yes it is a quote from my favorite movie, yet ever since I first heard those words I have tried my best to live by them. Hi, my name is Eric Citizen and I am an associate in Orrick\'s Silicon Valley office and a member of the firm\'s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Group (MAPE). I earned my Juris Doctor degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, my hometown. While in law school, I worked as a legal intern at Google Cloud and Chronicle LLC, where I supported the legal team on a variety of corporate matters including privacy, cyber security, and transactions. Since joining Orrick\'s MAPE group I have represented public and private companies and private equity funds in various domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions transactions on both the buy-side and sell-side. My representations have seen me interact with clients and personnel across various sectors of the tech industry. These include areas such as education, energy, healthcare, life sciences, and gaming. As a movie fan (as you saw above), I am constantly inspired by the stories told across a variety of genres. As a video game fan, I am constantly amazed by the worlds people are able to create. When all is said and done, I hope to say I contributed to a story which echoes in eternity.
