   Eric Christensen is an engineer with over 25 years of experience in sustainability, greenhouse gas (GHG) management, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable design. Eric’s wide range of expertise and leadership is embedding sustainability practices into numerous public and private sector clients. Eric guides sustainability programs that have been recognized by the US EPA and CDP for their leadership in addressing climate change. For a long-standing client, Eric leads WSP’s support of the client’s CDP reporting and their quantification, goal setting, and goal achievement for multiple sustainability indicators, and leads the development and implementation of the client’s renewable energy strategy. As a vice president on WSP USA’s sustainability and energy team, Eric provides services spanning energy strategy and management, product sustainability and LCA, sustainable cities, climate preparedness, and corporate sustainability.Eric regularly participates in industry leading technical working groups. Eric served for eight years on the technical advisory group for the Science Based Targets initiative. He was a member of the technical working group for the GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance development, and is a lead author of EPA’s GHG inventory guidance documents. He also delivers technical presentations at industry conferences, workshops and webinars. Recent presentation topics include scope 2 GHG accounting and carbon neutrality.
