About Eric Borcherding
My passion is to help people feel more connected to their life and make progress with challenges that come their way. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with past experiences as an educator and school administrator, I help children, teens, young adults, parents and families to set and achieve meaningful goals to improve their well-being. I use a solutions-focused and strengths-based Cognitive-Behavioral Approach that is adapted to meet the person\'s individual and cultural needs. I have training in and utilize the following modalities within my practice: Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Social Skills Training, Trauma-Informed Care, Relational Model, Conflict Resolution, Restorative Practices, and Behavior Modification. Beyond my clinical skills, I have experience leading a diverse team of professionals, including supervision, developing and delivering professional development, school-based Social-Emotional program management, case managing the Special Education process, completing Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans, and curriculum development.
