About Erfan Farhangi

I am a fifth-year Ph.D. student and researcher at the Cloud Computing Lab. I have been mainlyfocusing on developing machine learning solutions to manage the high mobility of User Equipment (UE)and enable latency-sensitive services in Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC). My research domain inMEC is primarily concerned with: 1) Computation Offloading, where the resource-rich computing infrastructures of MEC are located at the physical proximity of mobile devices (referred to as “cloudlets”) are used to mitigate the overload of mobile devices by accepting offloaded computation. 2) Content Delivery, where the integration of MEC and 5G networks is an emerging solution that alleviates the backhaul congestion of mobile networks due to the proliferation of demand for content (e.g, social media services) to meet QoS requirements for user equipment (UE).
