Role & Responsibilities, • Spearheaded the selection and optimization of polymeric materials and processing techniques for automotive components especially on interior components, with an emphasis on aesthetics, lightweighting, and mechanical integrity. • Skilled in New Product Development, failure analysis, and formulation optimization tailored to customer requirements, product performance, and application needs. • Experienced in providing technical service, generating high-quality engineering data through structured experimentation, interpreting results, preparing detailed reports, supporting application development, and contributing to R&D innovation. • Executed mechanical testing (Tensile & Flexural using the UTM, impact - Izod/Charpy) physical properties (MFI, density, hardness and ash content) to support product qualification and validation. • Conducted advanced thermal characterization using TGA, DSC, HDT, VST, and FTIR to evaluate material behavior under operational conditions. • Collaborated cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external material suppliers to ensure quality, performance, and cost-efficiency throughout the development cycle. • Experienced in advanced polymer processing techniques like Injection moulding, compounding with Twin screw extrusion. • Designed and developed the experiments for accelerated Weatherability performance (f1/f2) as per the ASTM G155 / UL 746C & long-term thermal aging (RTI) as per UL 746B test method, contributing to UL yellow card listing. • Directed laboratory operations in preparation for external audits, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintained regulatory compliance aligned with ISO 17025. • Strong knowledge of ASTM, ISO, IEC & UL standards in material testing.
