About Samantha Greene

As seen on CNN, NPR, The Philadelphia Tribune:I am the Executive Director of Operation Connect, the outreach division of the UNC Undergraduate Student Government. Additionally, I very recently finished my tenure as the 57th President of the Black Student Movement at UNC-Chapel Hill, where I am proud to have been the first Black trans woman to lead. In both roles, I have advocated for marginalized communities, coordinated campus engagement, and facilitated communication between students, administration, and the media.As a Nutrition and Philosophy student with a minor in Creative Writing, I’ve centered my academic pursuits on the intersection of health, policy, and social justice, with experience in health policy analysis, LGBTQ+ health, and food insecurity.Through internships with the National Health Law Program and research at Carroll, Aleman & Dominguez Labs, I contribute to policy development and public health research, focusing on issues ranging from contraceptive access to the gut microbiome’s impact on mental health.I am passionate about advancing equity in health litigation and creating spaces where everyone is capable of living a healthy life free of prejudice.
