Developed creative music orientated workshops geared towards engaging youth and implementedinto Buffalo public high school “Saturday Academy” and after school programming. Engaged students in destination writing to help build on their social/emotional development. Mentored students into building a healthy outlook on creative expression, while empatheticallyempowering them to develop a positive self image and tell their stories in a productive manner. Deconstructed typical song structures and analyzed ideas and themes within popular music. Engaged students in the process of making their own musical arrangement using a combination ofsampled sounds, melodic progressions made on virtual/ hardware instruments, and sound design. Demonstrated the foundation of the studio recording process, explained the necessary equipmentrequired to build a home studio as well as the functionality of each material object. Displayed standard audio mixing techniques such as compression and EQ for a commercial mix.
