ABOUT EOIN BURNS

I’m a qualified town planner and civil engineer, a Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Construction Manager, with over 14 years’ experience shaping projects across planning, design, and sustainability. My work spans the full RIBA Plan of Work (Stages 0–7) and bridges both public and private sectors.I bring a holistic understanding of the built environment - from policy and planning applications to design coordination and project management initiatives. Previously, I worked in senior roles leading multidisciplinary teams and contributing to design efficiency frameworks and project delivery excellence.I actively represent CIOB on the CIC 2050 Group, assess entries for the CIC Inclusive Environments Awards, and volunteer with Planning Aid England (RTPI). Profoundly deaf since birth, I co-authored CIOB’s CPD paper on Disability and Inclusion (Construction Manager, 2024) and served as Willmott Dixon’s interim Disability Affinity Lead.Giving back matters to me. As a CIOB mentor, I’ve helped several professionals achieve chartership and continue to support others on their journey.
