I believe life is about working hard to achieve or succeed in whatever we aspire to become throughout our livelihood. Life challenges us to be creative and endure certain wind conditions that we are not prepared for otherwise. Life is beautiful because it gives us time and opportunities to put our best foot forward and to continue our journey with our goals in our minds and hearts. I have learned that life is a once in a lifetime opportunity that we should not take for granted because our time could expire at any moment, but we must always remember that we should make the most of our days. All of my accomplishments have been laid on my page, so anyone can review all of the hard work and time that I have invested into my life. The information displayed is not intended to be used for self-marketing, but rather to motivate and inspire young individuals to continuously invest in themselves because I believe that life is too short for us to be sitting around and waiting for opportunities to come to us. Someone once reminded me, “if you give a man a fish, he is hungry again in an hour. If you teach him to catch a fish, you do him a good turn…” (Unknown), and I strongly believe in this quote. That’s why I want to be able to teach young individuals how to “fish” for opportunities. Learning to “fish” for opportunities may come easier to some, while for others, it may not be their forte, but it may be something they have always wanted to accomplish or embark on throughout their lifetime. I want to be that fisherman or individual who can put them on the right path to success, so they can reach their aspirations or succeed in whatever they wish to accomplish before their time runs out. I want to be the fisherman or mentor who challenges them to be creative and to critically think of the wind conditions they will come across throughout their journeys. While I cannot control time, I want to be the fisherman or colleague who provides them with the advice or stewardship they need to maximize the possibilities of reaching the goals that they hold so dearly in their minds and hearts. Once I have been able to accomplish this, I will know that I have reminded them that life must not be taken for granted and we must make the most out of our days.
