   As a Field Engineer Intern in Skanska’s Underpinning Foundations division, I rotated through operations(Field), estimating, and engineering, gaining both field and office experience.In operations, I worked closely with foremen, drillers, and engineers to support micropile and secant pile installation. I oversaw drill logging, concrete placement tracking, slump testing, and verification of casing embedment lengths. I coordinated concrete deliveries and equipment usage to maintain project schedules, documented obstructions encountered during drilling, and assisted with load test preparation to ensure compliance with design requirements.In estimating, I performed detailed quantity takeoffs for geotechnical scopes, analyzed geotechnical data including soil boring logs, compiled vendor quotes, and prepared Soil Condition Colored Borings to support competitive bids. My work required attention to detail, accurate data interpretation, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure both cost efficiency and constructability.In engineering, I designed jet grout column diameters, developed CAD drawings, prepared submittals, conducted surcharge evaluations, and performed lateral load test analyses using Mathcad, CivilTech Shoring and AllPile. This work involved applying engineering principles to real-world site conditions and adapting designs to meet evolving field challenges.This internship reinforced my adaptability in dynamic construction environments and deepened my technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
