Have been assisting and working within CMAP\'s Local Technical Assistance (LTA) program. Initiated in 2011, the LTA program provides technical assistance resources to communities throughout the Chicago region to support projects that advance livability principles, implement the ONTO 2050 comprehensive regional plan, and build local capacity. Over 200 projects have been completed, including comprehensive plans, corridor or subarea plans, zoning revisions, studies of special topics such as housing or economic development, and similar planning activities. Also contribute to other CMAP programs and activities, including Homes for a Changing Region and the agency\'s general policy, programming, and planning activities.Local Planning: Currently working with communities on Neighborhood Plans and working with community partners around the region to provide guidance on land development, economic development, and transportation planning issues.Partner Coordination: Establish and maintain open communications with external partner agencies, including transportation agencies, non-profits, advocacy groups, elected officials and municipal staff, developers, and development experts to help advance agency principles and efforts.Agency Ambassador and Subject Matter Expert: Represent the agency externally on various steering committees, advisory councils, and external events as a subject matter expert for community development, economic development, ETOD, transportation, capital infrastructure funding, and housing policies.
