ABOUT ENRICO CAPRIO
Born in 1978, I obtained a Masters degree in Natural Science in 2004, with a thesis on the effects of forest management on birds and continued to specialize in forest bird ecology at habitat and landscape level during my PhD, working on a project to evaluate the effects of forest fragmentation in lowland hills. My research interests broaden to evaluate human activities impact on birds population and communities, comprehending high altitude ski-pistes, agriculture and timing of migration in respect with climate change and meteorological conditions. I also worked in integrated multi-disciplinary teams carrying out both Strategic Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments, many involving renewable energy projects (wind and photovoltaic power plants) Specialties: landscape ecology, biodiversity conservation, animal ecology, ornithology, GIS, environmental assessment
