As the Command Quality Assurance (QA) Training Assistant aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), I play a key role in maintaining the command’s high standards of maintenance, safety, and operational excellence. I oversee all QA-related training, qualification tracking, and compliance management to ensure full alignment with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP).Working closely with the Quality Assurance Officer, Department Heads, and Maintenance Training Teams, I coordinate training initiatives, manage certification databases, and track qualifications for QA Inspectors (QAI), CDQARs, and CDIs. I also support internal audits, TYCOM inspections, and Maintenance Management Assessments (MMAs) to maintain continuous audit readiness and program compliance.In addition, I assist in administering major QA programs—including the Naval Aviation Maintenance Discrepancy Reporting Program (NAMDRP), Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention, and Tool Control—while analyzing training data to identify trends, streamline processes, and recommend corrective or preventive actions. Through detailed reporting and collaboration with leadership, I help strengthen command readiness and uphold the Navy’s culture of quality and safety.
