ABOUT ENNO EILTS

Enno Eilts is a Partner at Oxera, based in the Berlin office with two decades of experience as a professional economist. He co-heads Oxera\'s competition litigation practice and the organisation\'s DACH Team. Enno specialises in competition litigation and competition economics more generally, advising clients across a wide range of sectors and jurisdictions. In the field of litigation, Enno supports both claimants and defendants in complex competition damages actions. He has acted as expert advisor in numerous high-profile follow-on damages cases in Germany, covering cartels in sectors such as automotive components, comparison shopping services, rail infrastructure, sugar, steel products, and cathode ray tubes, among others. In the UK, he advises on large-scale competition litigation, including for defendants in the Trucks cartel case and for claimants in the RoRo cartel proceedings—named GCR Litigation of the Year 2025. Enno\'s expertise in competition economics spans merger control, abuse of dominance, and state aid assessments. He has advised leading international corporations and industry associations across diverse sectors, including food and agriculture, forestry, transport, household appliances, wholesale and retail, and the automotive industry. Enno is also active in capacity building and training. He regularly teaches at Oxera’s external courses and contributes to international training programmes, including EU-funded seminars for judges on quantifying antitrust damages. He has lectured on-Competition Law and Economics (Toulouse School of Economics, France)-Advanced Competition Economics (University of Johannesburg, South Africa)-Quantifying Antitrust Damages (OECD, international)-State Aid (Academy of European Law in Trier and the European Institute of Public Administration in Maastricht) Since 2015, Enno has been recognised in The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers & Economists. Who’s Who Legal describes him as “one of the best economists in Germany,” noting his dedication and collaborative approach. Prior to joining Oxera in 2010, Enno held positions at the UK Competition Commission (now the Competition and Markets Authority) and the New Zealand Commerce Commission.
